Title: Easy question about drilling
Post by: ItchyD on December 24, 2008, 07:21:38 am
The other day I saw a pic on the forum of a guy using a thing that keeps his drill square to the work he's doing.  It was just a plastic cage that that he put on his drill.  I don't have a drill press so that thing would be alot of use to me unfortunately I can't find the thread and I couldn't find any at lowe's.  So if anyone has any clue what I'm talking about I could use a link! :)

I dont think [this drill stand (http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cds1-drill-stand/path/)] is exactly what you are talking about but it may be similar:

That's the idea but the thing I'm talking about is not a base that you mount onto it's just a plastic cage that hangs off the front of the drill.

Do you mean this thing?:

It's called a "Drill Guide" and I picked it up at Harbor Freight for about $15.
