Title: Anyone have a Mame 114(or newer) compiled?
Post by: AE35 on October 28, 2008, 08:28:04 pm
Hey all!

I wonder if anyone has a Mame 114 - or newer - compiled to not show 'left-right'
screens etc. and hiscore?

I could really use on for my new project..(since I need to be able to play Virtua Racing
which I believe was added in 114)

It would make me very happy!

Thanks!

Nicholas

There's absolutely no reason you can't compile it yourself.

it really is amazingly simple to do.

I was recently in your same situation, was putting together my cabinet and began working on the software, I could live with the "left right" issue, but really wanted to have high scores.  I checked out the thread and followed the directions as listed and it was a very easy process.  Using the Mame Compiler 64 was very easy.  It spells out everything you need and where to get it and the steps to take to compile.

Now when I launch games from MALA I get a blank screen briefly and then the game comes up.  No warnings, no left right, no loading artwork, etc.  That is great, but the best part is being able to show off your high scores when they come up.  It's all about being number one on the list.

I'm a complete noob when it comes to software and was able to compile version .124 using HeadKaze's compiler.  Super easy dude, you can do it.
