Title: Quick! Where can I buy kids overalls?
Post by: SirPeale on October 27, 2008, 08:13:36 pm
Kids decided to be Mario and Luigi for Halloween (took them long enough to decide).  I need blue denim overalls.  Where can I get them for a decent price?  Wal-Mart here in town didn't have any overalls at all.

Farm and Fleet, Rural King, places like that will have them. Just saw them in there a couple weeks ago. Dunno if these places are near you though. They may be midwestern specific.

Goodwill and second hand shops are another good place to scour.

Few and far between here.  But I will check out what's here.

Problem is the kids are bigger.   Size 10 on my oldest, 6 on my youngest.   They're harder to find in larger sizes.

Yeah, I'd try K Mart, any thrift shops, and check used clothing stores that specialize in kids' clothes.  They're usually little indy places run by a woman who knows intimately exactly what she has in stock and can tell you over the phone.

Can't your wife make them out of some old Denim?

We have a sewing machine, but it won't handle anything that thick.  Yes, it's a pansy machine.  I think I can get some cheap blue fabric and get them together.

Thanks for Osh Kosh B'Gosh, but the nearest outlet is 70 miles.

Stores locally didn't have anything.  Not surprising...most older kids don't wear overalls.

Try your local NKOTB outlet.

i'm gonna sound pedantic but i would call what they wear dungaress not overalls.
you need a vest and trousers in navy, a belt, and a long sleeve top in red , put the vest over the top, a toolbelt will hide the join between shirt and trousers making it look like a one piece, mario i reckon.
