Ok not sure what to do about this.. i can think of a few things.. all of them suck.. so maybe someone else can think of something..
Heres the problem... i have a 26" TV I'm using as my screen for my cabinet i measured it before I started cutting out my panels... and i finished cutting them out yesterday and i started assembling the CP, its all done except the top.. gonna wait for artwork and hinge, so i look at the TV and i notice something.. i failed to notice before.. the TV actually flares a little bit out as you go back to where the 2 halves of the box meet.... when i started making the cabinet i was concerned about being able to fit though doors.. so i made it a tight fit leaving 1/16 clearance on each side of the screen.. wound have been a big deal if the flare want there.. so now I'm about 3/32 to narrow on the cabinet for the TV to fit..
So here are the options i thought about...
Sand the side of the TV down (its just the plastic housing) 1/16 on each side (25" x 2.5" strip)
Sand the side panels where the TV will sit would have to sand roughly 25"-26" x 4.5" to get the TV to the depth needed)
make all new panels (top speaker board interior shelf monitor self back (2 pieces for the back) slant bottom and coin door) and add the needed 1/8 inch
or unbox the the TV and find some way to mount it in there (i think i would rather cut all new panels then do that.. knowing the voltage and capacitors and such in TV, kinda scares me when i think about it just kinda hanging there. and also if i ever want to move the cabinet i would want to take the TV out so it wouldn't be quite so heavy
Thoughts and suggestions are greatly wanted/needed =)

This would be pretty easy with a router.

I needed to remove some material from the back of the bezel. I temporarily attached some guides.

i was kinda thinking about doing something like that.. stacking 2 pieces of 3/4 board on top and cutting a 2"x25" slot in it and using it kinda like you show and just moving it out until i get everything cut how to how i need it...

I decased my TV. On the four front corners it had mounting brackets ready to go, just as if I had purchased a bona fide arcade monitor. If it's going to be locked away inside your arcade cabinet I don't suppose all that electricity is any more dangerous than if it's going to be locked away inside its plastic casing. Either way it's locked away. Just keep the doors locked.
