So my co-worker has helped increase my business alot this year and has made me alot of $$$. He loves the newer golden tee games so for a Xmas gift I want to build him a fullsize golden tee capable of playing ONLY the newer Fore games. I'm not a huge fan but they are ok and I can play the older one's on my Mame cabinet. Anyways I'm looking for advice on what to buy to get a cabinet up and running with the new games. I have worked on the standard 90's arcade games, but these have hard drives and not sure what to get as far as a cabinet goes. So I guess I'm looking for any golden tee cabinet ??? and a pcb and hard drive of the newer games ? Will this work to upgrade Easily to the newer games ? Holy crap that was a ramble ha ha please chime in with advise.............

Depending on how much money he made you I would just get him on of the unplugged cabs.

User markrvp did a custom build of Golden Tee a while ago. Here is a link to his thread. It may help you out.
Posting this from my phone so if the link doesn't work, just search for his thread in project announcement.

There are two versions of the Fore! boardset, red and green... I think the red set may be the only one upgradable to the very latest version... I have a green board set GT. Think mine is upgradable to Complete! but not 2008.
Sorry for the scrambled blab, but I gotta go to work!

They both can only be updated to the Complete series or the 2005 series, regardless of the color of the board. Anything beyond that, ITS used the Nighthawk system as their hardware base (Golden Tee Live, Silver Strike Bowling, Bags).
