So, I'm restoring one of the decals on my cab by hand since it's almost completely intact and I am trying to keep costs down. Anyone ever do this? I did a few spots with black craft paint and it looks good, but the 'sheen' is off and I think once I get the cab into place it's going to be more apparent with different lighting.
Wondering what paints people may have used in the past. My current paint is just a cheapy craft acrylic I use to paint minifigs.

(Saw the FAQ thread, but it was minimal discussion and I am interested if people have used things other then Testor's since it's very expensive and I'm going to need to custom mix colors)
