Title: 28" Widescreen monitors - anyone using one?
Post by: wilno45 on September 19, 2008, 10:56:07 am
I live in the UK where it seems crt arcade monitors are quite difficult to source easily. Suzo uk can get me a 27" Makvision for about £320 + 17.5% vat + £60 delivery charge. That will be with (I think) a one year waranty and from what Iv'e read here rather dubious customer support (Makvision not Happ btw).

Or I could get a 28" LCD from here from here http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-025-OK at £270 + delivery.

Anyone using a widescreen in their cabinets and are they happy with the results? I currently play mame on my desktop widescreen with an X-arcade and enjoy that, but will I regret not using an arcade monitor?

Ps Will be using mame, project64, and one or two pc games.

Cheers

They're not the same beast. An LCD is an LCD is an LCD, unless it's an arcade LCD, which that above isn't.
