it was working fine on the PC monitor until i went to put the PC back into the arcade machine and view the picture on the tv screen, thats when the problems started and now i cannot view it on anything except in saftey mode on the PC monitor
is there a way to sort the settings out with out re-installing everything ?
PS i am using a stripped down version of XP which i haven't seen working with the TV BUT i know the full version of xp works fine..
thanks

check windows display settings to make sure it's using that cards output as primary display

thanks for the input but its the drivers at fault i think
im using this mobo http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?detailid=555&CategoryID=1&DetailName=Driver&MenuID=48&LanID=9
nothing exciting i know BUT it did work fine for months so whats the deal ?
if someone can tell me which driver to get / need because theres all these fancy force ware and summit else http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-uk
i have re installed XP and the latest drivers and as long as you don't do anything bar connect it to a PC monitor its happy ! well im sorry but i didn't splash out on this piece o' crap to connect it to a F*ing PC monitor
i am now re installing XP AGAIN any help would be much apreciated
edit: im now getting catalogue errors on re installing XP so the RAM's probably dead now maybe the hard drive too just for the fun of it.... i might as well bin it now and give up

Should cover it.
May want to see if you can disable the onboard video to avoid conflicts if need be.

ok cheers but if i cannot get XP back on it then im kinda stuck !
as Elvis in bubba ho-tep said "that would be just so much crap"

Mr Mullins you seem to of sorted it ! After going to the local maplins and getting ripped of at £40 for a 40gb HDD and sulking about it on the way home i got the antistatic strap and as carefully and politically correct as possible shuved the new HDD in that funilly enough seemed to be near identical to the 7 year old WD that was in there ! and installed XP the mobo drivers and that graphics driver... at the moment with a PC monitor and another TV plugged in over S-Video it seems to be quite happy except the bios screen and XP loading screen is black and white ! little odd... im still fiddling with getting mame on there again but once i have will connect it up to the correct TV and see what results i get :D:D

hi the problem was the hard drive and the new one is running like a dream and surprisingly a lot faster !
what can i use to correct the colours as the more i adjust the more washed out the colours become !

So are the colors bad on the PC monitor or the TV (s-video) ?
