Title: monitor question

I have everything connected to a power strip and left on... i just turn on the strip everything turns on then i turn on the pc, to turn it off i shut down the pc, then hit the power strip to turn everything else off... will this hurt my monitor using the switch on the power strip to turn it off and on as opposed to the monitor switch?
