Title: I would like light and strong.

What would you consider?

9mm MDF or Plywood?

Cabinet project is 6x3x8 inches = height, Width, Depth.  About 30lbs in weight total.

Or is there another wood I am missing that would be durable and light, preferably bendable with a harness?

Thanks.

I think for most applications plywood is pretty strong.  And it's a lot lighter than MDF.  So I'd go with that.

Yes and no, more like 6 feet x 2.5 feet by 8 inches and that 30 lbs is my target weight complete.

Inches.... :laugh2:

I just spec'ed it out on paper and I'm chomping at the bit ready to make it.

Plywood it is then.  Thanks guys.
