Hello all,
Here is a new CPO I'm working on. Wanted some feedback on both the design and layout. Its mostly a Knievel-Klone.
Should I solidify the Knievel-esque and add halos for buttons and joys?
There is a lot of bleed in the image for now, since the CP box is only 9 inches deep. But I always start with a little extra bleed, and crop it down closer before printing.
The holes in the top middle are for:
4 Way - Button - Button - Spinner
I had to spread it out a little to accommodate for the 4way and TB plate to fit closely.
Thanks for any input.

The red and blue is cool... but it needs something between the two to break up the straight vertical line boundary somehow.
-
Ya, I was thinking about drawing a "stroke" line that goes straight down the center and around the whole edge. But I was waiting until I got the dimensions finalized for the outline.
-
It definitely needs something more. Halos might work but I think the background is too busy as it is.
-
The "point of reflection" is really noticeable. You definitely need something in the middle of the CP to break it up. Careful though the main background is extremely busy. You could easily end up overdoing it.
Stickin' my nose where it don't belong since 2002

Hey wave, youre running from me posts.... You going to do a Daphne?

Not running leisurely strolling..lol, I'll do a "Daphne". Just still on my hols at the moment will get to it when I'm back. Dont have anything on my laptop except office for work.

Rather than mirroring the background, sweep it all the way across the panel. That way you can avoid the "mirror" effect, then slap it into Photoshop and do a gradient overlay that goes from red to blue. Finally draw a section in the middle of the panel, grab the smudge tool and go nuts!!that'll create a smooth blend.

Sweet, if you send it to me, I'll do another set of CPO & marquee with your Daphne or something. I just want to see what you can do.... Just try not to go to much on the whore side. I stepped on some toes on that last batch I done....

I still have a layer from when I originally brought in the background, and it swept the full width. But I'm still playing around with the mirror image thingy for now.
How does this look.....

That is looking better (although it's not symmetrical and it's throwing me off).

oops. Are you talking about the black circle around the TB? I'll have to see which got nudged, the white circle or black circle.
Other than that, was there anything else un-symetrical that I'm missing?
Thanks,
Stobe

found a few paths that were not centered. See if this looks better...

See the circled areas.

See the circled areas.
I see two circles there, but don't know what I'm looking for ?
-
The circle at the bottom highlights an additional angle that the other side does not have. The top circle is because the trackball circle does not look centered.
-
Yikes, thanks for that catch on the bottom. After I hid a few layers, it was very blatent :)
As for the TB circles, they are both centered as far as photoshop will tell me.
Try this one.

There you go, much better.
-
better than the original...less busy. What did u used? PS?
-
Truth be told, i kind of preferred the original!
maybe would have used a jagged black line down the center...
Did you get it done?? final artwork?

Yup, photoshop.

Not printed yet. Waiting until I can do a marquee as well to submit them both to the printer at once.
