Title: Williams Multi Game...
Post by: Paulson on July 21, 2008, 07:13:44 am

 Hi everyone, I'm new here...
I've just bought some MDF for my new cocktail project based around Kyle Lindstrom's
Pacman plans.
Anyways I plan to have a third control panel on the side (the front I guess) & I want it to
be the Williams Multi Game panel...does anyone know the panel measurements?
I already have the artwork which I'll need to printed to size.

Thanks

Thanks Franco,

I only joined this forum last night & I found your post..:)
Is it your first cab or is it one of many? To me it looks like it will turn out to
be the "Rolls Royce" of cocktails.

Mind you I'm giving mine my best shot too :)

BTW Why do people have so many buttons on their machines?
seems kinda dumb to me...or am I missing something?

No problem Rob,

Ha ha, well its my second cab but im sure it wont be the last, you definitely get bitten by the building bug!

As for buttons, what do you mean by too many? Do you mean the actual player buttons or other buttons? Many people (me included) have six or seven buttons for players one and two to cover as many games as possible. You only need six for street fighter but many people put a seventh on to add a Neo Geo layout.

People have extra buttons on their control panels which are generally called 'admin buttons'. These may include coin insert buttons (if there is no coin door etc), start game, exit game, pause etc etc. You can get away without using them by using shifted inputs but dedicated buttons make it much easier (and less confusing), especially if other people are playing on your machine.

Good luck with your project. Make sure you make a thread in Project Announcements for your build (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v325/Francoberasi/Smileys/023.gif)
