I have installed MAME 0.125 working great and now I want to install 'Stella' an emulator for the Atari 2600 system.
I'm using Maximus Arcade as the front end.
The problem is when I launch an Atari game the monitor gets out of sync/resoution. I tried the few different options that the emulator shows but nothing fix it.
I have installed Soft15Khz, only the 15Khz mode, hace not installed the 25 and 31khz mode because the monitor had a double image with them.
I don't know if it possible to run atari2600 games on an arcade monitor.
I copy and paste here the .ini file for stella.exe:
; Stella configuration file
;
; Lines starting with ';' are comments and are ignored.
; Spaces and tabs are ignored.
;
; Format MUST be as follows:
; command = value
;
; Commmands are the same as those specified on the commandline,
; without the '-' character.
;
; Values are the same as those allowed on the commandline.
; Boolean values are specified as 1 (or true) and 0 (or false)
;

Amiga500,
You might want to give Z26 a try: http://www.whimsey.com/z26/z26.html
I've had no problems running it on an arcade monitor.

Amiga500,
I almost forgot, the "official" version of Z26 is not 100% cab friendly, but there is an alternate version that is. Get it here:

Massive88,
I may be out of the loop with the latest MESS developments, but last time I looked, their Atari2600 emulation left much to be desired. Unlike their Colecovision and Vextrex which are spot-on.
