Someone's bound to have an old small monitor around here somewhere (on the boards). I know I've got an old 15incher im using in my mame cab, a lil small... but it wont cost me anything...can always be upgraded later anyway...i've also seen a couple 10 inchers on ebay from time to time pretty damn cheap...

http://bizsyscon.com has cheap 9" Vga and SVGA monitors. I think some of them are brand new. I recall seeing some new in box when I visited their warehouse.

I've seen 13" arcade monitors go on Ebay for $20, but none recently. I think you may wanna keep your eyes open for some.

Their are a bunch of Axion 9" monitors on ebay right now. Starting bid is $1. Most of them have sold for around $15. Every once and a while someone overbids to the $25 range. If you put a max bid on one for $15.5x, you should be fine. If you get outbid, just go for another one.
Shipping was $15 (seems a bit high to me)

I've seen one or two go for $10 from some other sellers, but they were charging $20/$25 for shipping. And they were untested, sold-as-is.

Not my auction (I just bought one from them though)

You may want to make sure no else from the forum is bidding on the same one. Fortunately, I think I have enough  ;D

If you still need one, you can buy mine. Pick it up (Troy, Michigan) and save on shipping. 9" axion SVGA. Works fine, even on its side  ;)

I was going to make a mini-vertical bartop, but lost interest. Though, it did look kinda cool playing pacman and donkey kong with it filling up the screen.
