While I know they aren't very popular on here due to the fact that the vast majority of games use standard res monitors, I'm thinking about buying a cabinet that may need a 25" medium res monitor, depending on if the dead one in it is fixable or not (there is a good chance I will not be able to get any data on the monitor that is in there as it will be Japanese). I know well enough to avoid the WG U5000 (or, for that matter, just about any WG monitor), but I'm curious if there are any recommendations on common 25" medium res monitors that I might actually be able to find. Multisync/switchable is preferred but not absolutely required. I'd be willing (and probably would prefer) to buy a new one, but used is OK to as long as I could find it.
Any thoughts?
(I'm guessing this has been discussed before, but these kind of things often change with time, so I'd like updated opinions)

New monitors are 24.8" in size now to get around those new government regulations.
All medium res monitors are expensive to buy, so it's often best to repair your existing monitor.

Good point, I guess it would be 24.8". Of course that'll stick around despite the distinction being utterly meaningless now (or, I should hope, in the very near future)...
I certainly will make an attempt to repair the monitor if I purchase the cabinet, but that can be difficult with no documentation. I don't know what's wrong with it (seller has no idea), so it may be simple. Then again, it may not. I was looking for a "purchaseable" so I'd have some idea of worst case scenario (replacement) cost before buying the cabinet. I realize they are not exactly cheap.

Nieman Displays has a nice 24.8" multisync:

Billabs also has one I believe.
