Title: mamewah custom lists?
Post by: Jox43w on May 27, 2008, 03:37:21 pm
i run all my games in mame but i want to seperate the neogeo, cps1 2 and 3 titles into their own custom list with diffrent background. iv tryed putting the roms in a diffrent folder then generating a new games list but mame wont run unless they are in the mame roms folder and that way it just generates all the mame games any ideas?

you could try romlister to make the lists:

http://www.waste.org/~winkles/ROMLister/RomLister12beta2.zip

the mamewah stuff is beta, and I never got any feedback from anyone using it as to whether or not the lists would import properly into mamewah, so give it a shot and get back to me so I can release this pig.

I'd think you could just do a "neogeo" in the -find window to get a listing of all of them, then do a "!neogeo" to get a list of everything else.

I can help with the search criteria if you get stuck.

You can create filtered lists in Mamewah...add an empty file called mame-1.ini into your \mamewah\config\mame folder - this will be populated when you run Mamewah.

Then in Mamewah, select this list (Select Games List) and go into Games List Options > Generate Filtered List.  Here you can use 'Bios Filters' to filter NeoGeo etc...

NOP: I will try RomLister and get back to you...
