Hey, i have a WG 25k7401 that has been working fine. I recently took my cab to a buddies house for a party, and i went to piick it up today. while loading the cab into the truck, one of the guys lifting tilted the cab at an angle. Maybe around 15-20 degree tilt. All of a sudden i heard something that sounding like sand being poured onto a piece of wood, or kinda like tv static. As soon as i got it home, i fired it up to see if the monitor would still work, but now it just makes a loud buzzing sound. Almost sounds like a plastic kazzoo or something. Just wondering if there is anything i can do to get it up and running again. Am i S.O.L. ?

Crap...sounds like you broke your tube.
I hope I'm wrong. Check the back of the tube (the neck) and see if it's in one piece.

yes, its seems fine. didnt bang the cab around to much, it just got tilted while loading. Ill double check just to make sure i didnt miss a crack or something.

You may have cracked a circuit board or the tube. Maybe just knocked a high voltage or ground wire off.
-
on my second check of the monitor, the tube is broken. Small glass part that connects to the neckboard. :banghead:  :hissy:. Can i just replace the broken piece comeing off the neck board or is it connected to the tube?

If the tube is broken, the tube is not repairable and will need to be replaced.
edit: was the monitor loose in there? Did you have things hanging around loose in the cab? Tipping it shouldn't have been enough to break a tube. What kind of cab is it?

start watching for donor tubes on trash day !!
the price is right ;)
