Title: Is it safe to update TinyXP to XP service pack 3 ?
Post by: BORIStheBLADE on April 29, 2008, 07:44:50 pm
The end of this week the XP sp3 update will be out. Do you guys think its a good idea to update TinyXp or wait for a updated version of TinyXp to hit the usual places??

So what are you saying? Update or reinstall?

Why upgrade?  What does SP3 offer that you need?  If it's a stripped down version of XP anyway, why add more bloat to it.  I wouldn't upgrade unless there is something specific that you need.

I figured that xp might run a little better considering its a long over due update. I know most updated don't ensure stuff running smoother and better, but with this one I figured it might.

there is a TinyXP rev08 released 25 april 2008 with the latest sp3 rc. there will be another release when sp3 final comes out.

you can try installing sp3 but since a lot has been taken out of tiny xp, you may get installation errors.
