Depends on model and tube size. Some do, some don't.

it is the ABL adjustment(automatic beam limiter) is not set correctly, the chances of getting it right are slim but worth a go
monitor manufacturers would set this using some very special equipment

how do you adjust it

well depends on the chassis,if you have one with an ABL pot you can do it with that
if your chassis does not have this pot then its component changes but this is a little out of my league,i would think rickn knows the score on this
basically your chassis is not that well matched to your tube/yoke config
what chassis model do you have btw?

worth a go i guess, maybe you will get a better match
i am doing some tests on rodotron chassis next week,i am tri syncing a nanao ms9-should be quite interesting to see if i can match the chassis perfectly
good luck with yours
