I have a Radeon 7500 that is about to power my next MAME Cab.....(yeah, finish one build one, thats the way to keep the ball rolling!). ...I'm planning on making it Vertically mounted.
I also have a spare Geforce 2 with TVOut lying around here.
Question: The radeon is a better card, IMHO, than a Geforce2...however....I can't remember if the Radeon or the Nvidia card was the one that ONLY supported monitor "flipping" on XP/NT5 displays (ie: 2000).
Can anyone tell me if either of these cards support vertical windows running win98?

Im pretty sure you can rotate windows on win98 with the radeon. Ive got a 7500all-in-wonder running 98.. family guy's on now but as soon as I hit a commercial ill check it out

After further review(by which I mena installing the newest catalyst drivers:3.4) I don't have an option to rotate.. I found some screencaps when I was on google but it was indeed for xp/2k. I have had the 7500 instaleld on my XP box so that may have been where I remember it from
So- 98+ati drivers only = no rotation. There may be 3rd party apps that do this, but nothing at the driver or hardware level
Also, the front end may be your friend in this case. Using advancemenu, I just had to add video_orientation flip_xy mirror_x and Im now staring at a sideways screen. I'd bet other FEs have similar abilities

Thanks for checking that out for me, its appreciated!!!
PS: Same thing with Nvidia......no screen rotation without the NT core of 2000 or xp
