Title: Robocop Arcade game Sound Problem
Post by: itobandito on April 10, 2008, 11:10:54 pm
I picked up this jamma board for Robocop and it appears to be missing some sounds. The music plays some sound effects are present with out any distortion BUT sound effects like the punching/hitting sound are missing as well as the Robocop speech and dying sound. Any idea what can cause this? I tried this board in two diff jamma machines and the problem occured on both machines

Could be ROM issues.  What does the self check tell you?

As peale has said already maybe ROM issues, are they all present on the board and in the right place? are all pin's on them sitting properly ( ie. no bent pins) take a photo of the boards & I can compare it against mine if you like?

Not wanting to sound thick or indeed doubt you ( :notworthy: ) but I was'nt aware robo had a self check or test screen, pretty sure all dip's are used for gameplay.

Regards.

I didn't know if there was one or not.
