Post by: blkdog7 on April 05, 2008, 11:30:51 pm
Yeeha!! I got up this morning to work on my Mario Bros. Widebody... and I'm done!! Took me about 8 hours to complete all the tasks but I think it was worth it. It looks kick butt!!

I took a ton of photos of the restoration in process, they can be seen here:

Here's all the things I did today:

Work Completed:

New Side Art
New CPO Artowk
New T-Molding
High-Score Save Kit
New Buttons
New Marquee Light Bulb
New Coin Door Bulbs
Touched up black paint everywhere
Cleaned the heck out of the sides
Used Novus 1,2, & 3 to reomove bezel scratches

Left to do: Monitor Cap Kit!

Thanks guys. I am really proud of how it turned out. This is my first time getting my hands dirty on one of these machines and I had a great time working on it.

Your Donkey Kong Looks nice also!

I'm working on a Donkey Kong right now.

Lol. I knew this was coming.   :)

If i had gotten it with all the guts, monitor, etc ....

Yes, I would have probably did that.

But i received totally empty, And free by the way!

Another reason, Having a dedicated GALAGA and PAC-MAN

I know how these old pcb's act up.

I would like to at least have one reliable machine around, I don't have to worry about.

With that being said, Im not going to do anything to mess the cabinet up.

If i ever choose to let it go.

Eveything is staying all original.

Im going to run Atomic Fe, with a few vertical games.

All the DK's, Pac's, etc .....

Here's the before picture.
