Since tech seems to elude me now and then, does anyone have a model / brand suggestion for a Light Gun running with:
MAME v123 on PC (XP) with a PC Monitor (running at 800x600+)?
Thanks all

TRY READING THE WIKI!!! http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Light_Guns (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Light_Guns)
There's a lot of information about light guns in there.
Or try doing a search on the forum before asking questions that have been answered a million times before.
The above said, I will try to answer your question..... You only really have two easy options right now. Either the LCD Topgun, which will work with any monitor. Or the Act Labs PC guns which will only work with specific monitor types.
There are other options but they require a lot of hacking and making... They're not an out of the box solution.

Having looked through the forums and the WIKI, and then only seeing 1-2 options for a light gun, I decided to ask here and see if anyone had recently come across a different or new way to do things.
Sorry to ask the same question over again, but it's not like we have a sticky that I can find with more details than the WIKI provides.
Thanks for the info Fozzy.

I'm definitely interesting in the Top Gun, but checked the Wiki for the links... are they out of business? Where do you get them, from Divemaster? Fozzy, sorry to be a little dense in this regard, but you said they work with all monitors, not just LCD? I'm going to also have either an S-Video or RCA connected monitor (tv).
And the Guncons, they all seem to be with PS2/PS3... I'm assuming the PS3 version is a USB connection, that'll work with Mame...?
Again, sorry, I'm totally ignorant with light guns.

Doh, found this ordering link:

But is it still legit...? Are they still in production?

Ah, thank you so much!!
These look so much better than the Act-Labs ones, seems like they're just as good from what I've read.
