...in Europe (http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs.ars/2008/02/21/commodore-64-games-coming-to-the-virtual-console). I hope it comes to the US. I don't buy VC games normally since I have most of what is available in original form, but I don't have anything for the C64. There are a couple of old titles I'd like to see again.
Summer and Winter Games, anyone? :notworthy:

Wouldn't temporarily changing the Wii's location to that of Europe allow you to see the C64 games, thus allowing you to make the purchase and enjoying said titles?

Summer and Winter Games was a blast! Had an Atari joystick hooked up and I remember wiggling the piss out of it running etc. Very cool.
-
I have a scar on my left palm from my friend's C64 joystick. We played Summer Games so much we wore the top knob off - and we had to play with just the pointy shaft. The most effective way was to put a palm on that... but it always ended up cutting into the skin.
-
I used my palm on top of the joy in that game. Only way to get enough movement.
-
The Epyx Joystick was the perfect match for the Summer/Winter Games. Nice handheld form factor, easy to waggle. They weren't as durable Wico sticks, but were far better suited to these games.
Personally, I want Impossible Mission for the VC if we are talking C-64 stuff.

God, please tell me we won't have to type in 'Load "*" ,8,1' with the wiimote. :laugh2:

It took like ten years before any of us had any idea what that meant.

In no particular order, I'd love to see Pogo Joe, Miner 2049er, and Forbidden Forrest be some of the first available games (as well as the Summer Games for sure). Spent a LOT of summers playing those.
Forbidden forest with a wii zapper (droooooooooool)..........
-
I don't know if I want to subject my poor Wii controllers to the torture that is Summer Games, Summer Games II, Winter Games, etc. But if they incorporate the motion into it, man that would be great. I loved those games.
I second Forbidden Forest, Pogo Joe, Miner 2049er but would also like to see Bruce Lee, Tilt It!, Toy Bizarre. Actually they should just pop most of the Activition, Epyx and EA games up there.
-
Archon. Hell, EA just needs to revive that concept for a modern system.
-
SYS64738 ;D
I have my original C64/1541 packed up. I'd love to play Raid Over Moscow, Beach Head and Raid On Bungling Bay again.
-
Telengard was my fav. "The Kobold makes a quick move..."
-
I'd be happy with California Games.

I had Bruce Lee on tape. Loading that used to take forever!
I'll second the EA lineup. Dr J v. Larry Bird was always popular with my friends.

Bwoah, loading from disk on the C64 also took forever. (Compared to my Atari 8-bit :) )
And Miner and Bounty Bob should be played on the Atari 8-bit. And not on anything else :D

Can't believe no one's mentioned M.U.L.E.
-
Mmmm...Beach head...(lol)
And Jumpman!
I also used to play choplifter from a cartridge.
Mail Order Monsters was awesome as well. (for it's time.)
-
I'll take Space Taxi, please! ;D
-
I remember Adventure by EA games, the Ultimas, Mech Warrior(the first one) & Imperium Galacta by SSI, played those a bunch
-
My friend's father was still playing Seven Cities of Gold on his C64 as late as 1993. A lot.
-
I had forgot about that game, I spent most of the time just fighting the natives

I loved that game!

I for one wouldn't mind seeing a decent version of Archon and Archon II. They were PUTRID on the NES.
Also Fort Apocalypse and Impossible Mission.
But my absolute favorites, the Spy vs Spy games! I had 3 of them, and they were a blast to play. Great system all around!
-
I did a lot of Racing Destruction Set, Pirates, and Rampage. Oh and Wizardry, the Hobbit, and Gateway To Apshai. God the Commodore was so much fun.
-
before my time, but i'd love to see Maniac Mansion from the c64!
My girlfriend and i play on the nes non-stop.
