After performing an engineering analysis of the dynamics involved in the incident, it has been determined that the eccentric load added by the really bad ponytail significantly altered the center of gravity of the box, thus resulting in the box tipping over.

Can you translate? All I can hear is "OH ---fudgesicle---"....
Ponytail boy looks PISSED....
:laugh2:
EDIT: Did it survive?
-
. o O ( stupid websense )
-
It's Flemmish (Dutch spoken by our friendly southern neighbors from Belgium), which is supposed to be a lot like Dutch, but I can't make much of it either.
Anyway, this is staged. At least, I think it is.
Still fun though :)
-
Yeah it's stagged and what a bad performance too. I think I could look more convincing than that . No Oscar contenders here ::)
-
Of course they had trouble communicating intentions to each other, they're speaking gibberish.
-
Lolz. They could've at least taped the top of the box shut....

:applaud:
First thing my 7 year old noticed was how they were unloading it straight without any semblance of support or care -- then he asked why the top of the box was open.
-
When I was watching the video, I kept thinking the whole thing is staged too. He has a moving van (is it a rental?). He has the mindset to have it strapped to the wall. Has the mind set to put the straps away before moving the box. Has the mind set to point out it's fragile amongst the other things he points out on the box. Yet he lacks the mindset to use a dolly, have any ramps or tell cameraman to put the stupid camera down and help with the box. After the box falls, he goes into a childish screaming fit.
Having the top of the box open doesn't really mean anything. It could very easily mean he did a cursory inspection of the contents before accepting it.
The only thing that casts any doubt in my mind about it being staged is 3:00 into the film. The other guy appears to ask him a question and ponytail makes motions with his hands. Apparently explaining how the box got in the van in the first place. If this was staged, there would be no reason to ask how it got into the van, he would already know.
edit: Changed the chosen name to prevent giving one of our members, who is much smarter than ponytail, a bad rep.

Staged or not this makes me feel like a genius. I've unloaded many large unwieldy objects from my truck without dropping any of them.
Somehow I have to think that a properly packaged pinball machine could survive being tipped onto it's side to be unloaded and/or slid to the ground with two people with ease.
Still it's damn funny.

Yeah, when you move something very valuable, use the proper "tools". Like a rental truck with a hydraulic lift:

Yes it cost a little more, but we didn't have to do ANY lifting or get in dangerous situations. Money very well spent IMHO :)
O and get well trained people to operate the lift:

Your son must've had a blast playing errr... helping you operate that. ;D
-
He did. It was safe because he had to use two hands. Amazing how quickly he "got" it. Do I need to say that he didn't operate it with the SW on the lift ? ;)
-
Doesn't look staged to me. The guy's standing there going "Duhhhhhhh... how the f*** do we get it down.. Derrrrr". Which is typical "I'm a computer geek and never did any sort of manual labour in my life" ignorance. Ya know?

Somebody's spent too much time watching the morans load up after auctions ...
;)
-
Hey, at least they didn't try to cut it in half and load it into a sedan.
-
Mmmmm, looks familiar ?

The guy wrote the book he's holding. Must be the only book in Dutch about arcade videogames.
Printing-on-demand, but a nice effort:

This is the thread where I found this. www.gameroom.be is also the site where I found the "dropped WOF" video....

The thread says they're working on an English translation. Book also cover games after the golden period.
-
The main thing I noticed was that he didn't look in the box to check the damage.
-
Definitely staged. Still funny though - dude really needs to lose that ponytail...

.. yeah.. but the kid doesn't weight THAT much ...
-
Yeah, that was a nice way to put things in perspective :)
I've seen the WOF STERN box that was used in this video, AND seen and played the pin that was inside and I can tell you....both are in mint condition :)
Going there again tonight...

So... how much do you think he'll get for that box on eBay?
