Okay . . . I thought about posting this in my Bionic Commando 3D thread, but it's just too good. It deserves its own thread. Bionic Commando ReArmed. Coming soon to XBLA and Playstation Network.

I just saw that video on another forum and can't wait.

Cute
-
That's an interesting word-choice . . .
-
I like the fact that they're not trying to reinvent the wheel but a little AI might be nice. Don't these thugs know what a hand grenade looks like?
-
oh hell yes!!!!
I am way more excited for this than the new 3D Bionic Commando. I can't wait for this one... I'll be picking this up on XBLA for sure.
-
this makes me want a 360 now...just to DL andplay this.
-
That looks amazing. :dizzy:
-
Now that is how you remake a classic.
-
I was grinning so hard while watching that, I think I broke my face ;D
Sweeet.
-
Looks awesome--available when?
-
Having played Bionic Commando, this really is a dream come true. Now there is two reasons for keeping my 360. The Guitar hero series and now this. Can't wait.

Joystiq has some impressions and screens from GDC.

Release date : MAY

I'm just glad they're releasing a PC version. I don't have a 360 or PS3 and won't any time soon.
-
Wonder if this will be released for PS2 also. It would seem it would be a good candidate - it isn't THAT graphic intensive.
I would get it for PS2
-
It's kind of irritating that it isn't coming to
the Virtual Console WiiWare, actually. I know that the Wii is out of the question for most multi-platform games, but when a game can be done on all three there's no good reason to leave Wii, the market leader, out of the loop.

Not quite yet. (http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs.ars/2008/02/22/capcom-having-problems-with-bionic-commando-rearmed-on-xbla)

Is this coming out for the original Xbox?

Does that article say anything about a Wii version? All I read is about drama with the Xbox 360 version.
And no, it will not be released for the Xbox.
-

No games are released for the original Xbox any more. Walmart for instance has completely phased out original xbox games and accessories.
Sony still fully supports PS2 though with console sales and game development.

I wasn't responding to you specifically.

ah ha
-
M$ needs to suck it up and raise that ---Bad words, bad words, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when saint censors you?--- arcade size limit. If you're too cheap to buy a hdd for the 360 you don't have any business owning the thing, or getting caught up in "microtransactions" at all.
I needs me some udon sf2:HD!!!
-
I don't see what the problem is. Can't they just scan the available space when someone tries to make a transaction and say, "Sorry, not enough space. Hey! Maybe consider purchasing our lovely add-on hard drive which will give you space for this and many future purchases down the road!"
-
If this doesn't have the HD textures when it's released, I'm going to be pissed. I simply won't get this on my ps3....I need my achievements!

How many Xboxes do you think is in current working circulation? More than the PS3?
-
Doesn't matter if Xbox owners aren't buying games. And they're not, hence Wal-Mart's decision not to stock them.

I don't agree with that. Its not really that Xbox owners aren't buying games, its that Microsoft officially dropped support for the system and cast it into the abyss whereas Sony is determined to keep the PS2 a viable platform.
It's not a lack of sales, its a complete abandonment of the platform by its creator.

Was at Toys R US on Saturday. Absolutely zero Xbox stuff...a whole wall of PS2 stuff.
-
Sure . . . we're talking about the same thing, though. All the retailers care about is whether people are buying games. If there's a healthy market -- money to be made, the retailers will carry the product. The only thing keeping Xbox games out of stores is the lack of sales.
On the other hand, Microsoft is primarily responsible for the lack of interest in the Xbox by dropping it as a viable platform.
-
Anyone playing this?
I bought it for the PS3, and it ROCKS! I'm about half way through now... really polished, funny, addictive and a refreshing change from all the 3D FPS's that are in abundance these days!
Those challenge rooms rock too :)
-
Man, I hope the PC version is cabinet-friendly. If it is it's getting added to mine. :)
-
Just m,ake sure you have a DirectX 9.0c or higher viseo card in your cab. My desktop has a Radeon x800 (DirectX 9.0b) and I learned the hard way that Bionic Commando won't run on it. It's a 2D side-scroller. It didn't even occur to me to check system requirements before purchasing. My system ain't [that old

Good to know. The PC part of my cabinet is the last thing I'm purchasing so I'll definitely make sure to get the right video card. Thanks.
