Title: 2nd display to show controls used
Post by: Ton80 on January 13, 2008, 03:42:19 pm
ive been away for quite awhile, but recently started working (and nearly completing my cab) again.  my question is this, i was thinking of adding a small lcd monitor that i have to the cab, and would like this to display the bottons/controls used for the current game.  (ex. game: donkey kong, and have it display "player 1 - joystick to move, button 1 to jump" or something along those lines.. anyone have a clue where i could get into something along those lines?

thx

How do you display texte on this screen?  Do you have an .exe that allows you to display what you want?

What is the name of this lcd device?

CPWizard can display controls on a secondary monitor. You would have to design a special layout file to work on a smaller screen but it should work. Only thing I havn't implemented yet is for it to display perminately on the second screen but I've been meaning to add that feature.

Wow.. that is an interesting idea. Never even thought of that.  Where would you put the second display?
