** edit - Turned out it was a false positive related to the AVG software. It scanned clean in Norton and McAfee **

Sorry to tell you this dude. But your Antivirus sucks. I'm using Avast 4.7 with all the latest updates. TrendMicro with the latest virus definitions. Comodo BoClean Anti-Malware which is updated daily and I haven't gotten any virus alerts.

It's pretty funny. I installed AVG and it gave me the same result. When I scanned it. But when I clicked on there Virus Encyclopedia for the so called virus it found. This is what I got. :laugh2:

And if anybody else doubts what i'm saying the Winkawaks version is 1.56. It seems it only gives a false positive for this version. If anybody thinks I did this on purpose the file was downloaded directly from http://cps2shock.retrogames.com/ unfortunately they don't have it up anymore but i'm sure everybody here is familiar with http://www.mamechannel.it/ Here's a link to there forum where an administrator posted the 1.56 version when it came out. Download it and scan it with AVG and you'll get the same false positive.

Your AVG is incorrectly alarming on a false positive. This is a known false positive for AVG with winkawaks. False positives are not unusal for anti-virus programs. Here is more info on what a false positive is:

Sorry for all the Hoopla. I tend to overreact when my arcade machine is at risk! I tried scanning the zip file on 2 other computers (using Norton and McAfee) and they came up clean. For some reason AVG is reporting it as a virus. Well, I guess it is better that it is super sensitive and reports it as a false positive rather than not detecting a potential virus at all.
I updated the Thread subject to "False Positive".
Thanks for the info and my apologies if I ruffled any feathers. (That was not my intention gonzo... I was only trying to help others).

It's cool. I'm going to update winkawaks with a more recent version to avoid other potential scares.
