Hi Everyone
This is probably for you Canucks, but has anyone tried the Serpentine Saw from Canadian tire? It's supposed to be a jigsaw and a rotary saw in one. Any info would be appreciated. I will include the link below.

That's pretty cool - not sure it's useful if you have both a jigsaw and router, but still not bad. I'll have to eyeball that when I go home in the spring.

That link doesn't work for me. It asks me for a zip code but since don't live in canada I keep getting errors. Give me a Canadian zip code to enter or a better link.

I can make one up.....M2N 1V7....or L9N 1V2.

It looks like a router with a spiral cutter bit. I would think it would be hard to control.
-
Actually it looks like a router motor installed into a jigsaw case. :dunno
-
Does anyone think this would be a good compromise if I have neither a router or a jigsaw?
-
Fully depends on what you're going to use it for... that's a light duty rotary tool for sure.
-
A router is an awesome tool. I wouldn't skimp on it and get a cheap one. But that's just me. If you're only going to use it only for the cab, then you know... meh.

Looks like my Rotozip in a jigsaw case

Judging by the reviews its a POS. I'm guessing they spent more time on gimmicks like the digital readout than actually making the thing work properly.

Exactly what I was thinking too. Looks like the jigsaw case would possibly be more stable.

about the only thing i would use it for would be cutting light boxes and outlet holes, and a rotozip has more uses
