For you techs out there.

What’s your favorite site for replacement part cross referencing ?

I usually take a poke at it here (NTE Cross Reference (http://nte01.nteinc.com/nte/NTExRefSemiProd.nsf/$$Search?OpenForm)) first since most places carry the NTE equivelants anyways.
And if it finds a match there's usually a datasheet to go with the information as well.

it is best to use orig numbers whenever possible .
if orig is nla, select a sub that is equal or greater than the original specs...
there is also the rare occasion that only the original device will work in a perticular circuit.

a couple of spec sites i use:

www.alldatasheet.com
www.datasheet4u.com

and there are more out there  !

generaly , sk/ nte's ( etc.. ) are more $ than originals
