Title: ArcadeVGA2 medium resolutions and scart tv
Post by: IreM72 on November 04, 2007, 02:26:44 pm
Hi,

Does the new ArcadeVGA2 card send 25Khz resolutions to a scart TV to support the medium res games?

I have had the older arcadevga card for a long time now (agp version), scart TV and a hacked cable, but never got round to installing it as I have been so lazy and busy with other commitments, but I am now back to this great hobby.

 Thanks.

Yeah, SCART is 15kHz, RGBS, Y/C, composit

If you run 640x480@60hz interlaced, that would be around 14-17kHz, depending on
retrace.

You need either a multisync monitor or a medium res monitor for the 25khz resolutions.  You also need the Ultimarc tri-sync patch as I believe the default AVGA drivers only assume you have a 15khz monitor.
