I don't know if anyone has ever posted this trick or has tired this yet.
My apologies if this if already widely known...
I had a few old white buttons, that were used on a recent conversion project, that were more brown than white due to age & sun.
The buttons & switches, while quite ugly, worked very well so I decided that instead of getting replacements, I'd try placing them in bleach overnight.
It worked!
Here are the before & after pics.
Hope this may help others out.
Z ;D

Pretty dramatic. Nice job.
I've been watching infomercials all day...... Those pics remind me of them.
Try the NEW Bleach 2000 System!! Only 3 EZ payments of $19.99!! You'll be amazed! It's fantabulous!
If only you threw some bleach in a jar and gave it a catchy name.... You were this close to being a Gazillionaire. ::)

Yeah,
All I need is Willie Mays or that annoying little British guys to pitch it for me!
Better yet: Suzanne Summers or even Lynda Carter.
Hmmmm...

And that is the stain fighting power of oxy clean..
A good idea though.. for those of you with faded buttons :) Thanks for the pictures too.. before and after always helps

You know, looking at that costume, it makes me wonder how many times she fell out of it during taping. I wonder if theres any outtakes floating around heh.

I think that we were a lot less voyeuristic society at that time.
The "Girls Gone Wild" era had not even been concived of back then.
If there were any such outakes, as splendid as they may have been, they were probably destroyed long ago.
