Title: Tips from the 1942 manual
Post by: Brad Lee on May 02, 2003, 02:13:45 am
Was doin some browsing and found a manual for a 1942 conversion kit (from KLOV.com i think)

I liked the list of requirements:

particularly the glass of water & a snack :)

There's also a section called Optimize your profits

Thorough Research shows that two and a half minute games both satisfy players and also keep the quarters flowing.
Without losing a life, it takes almost exactly 2:00 for the 1st stage, and another 2;00 for the second- does just starting the 2nd level satisfy you?

Also a good tip for when you first turn it on:

Yeah, umm, unless you installed a dry ice blower or an ashtray on your CP, smoke's not your friend.

I like the requirements: "a good night's sleep", "common sense", and especially "patience".  If only I saw that advise before starting my first CP.... ;)

Good thing I read that! I was going to use a hammer and a bottle of Jack Daniels! I'm sure it would probably work out the same though.

It does.  I plan on making my own manual which includes the afforementioned hammer and bottle of Jack, as well as things like "a hair-trigger temper" and "3 hours of sleep".

Oh, and "bag of Doritos (1)".

don't forget the b*&#%ing significant other nagging you over your shoulder and complaining about how much money the last trip to home depot cost.
