I've spent the morning removing the vinyl decals from the sides of my cabinet (heat gun), but now I'm "stuck" with the leftover glue. I've tried a few things to remove it (goo gone, goof off 2) but it doesn't seem to be working. I also tried just sanding it with an orbital and 60grit, that is just making a bigger mess.

i think i used 120 grit, but yeah.. same technique. Sand away. If you dip to low, time to get out the Bondo. Prepping the cab was highly time consuming.

What I did was put on goo gone, let it soak for a while, then scraped with a large plastic spatula used for painting and drywall. A plastic kitchen spatula would probably work just as well.
Apply plenty of elbow grease. :)
Once most of the gunk was gone I used a sander. That got the rest of it.

Ugh this is the step I am on, glad to hear it is a quick and easy process. :-\

I hit Home Depot, and found this stuff called Adhesive Remover (red tin can). I used a paint brush to paste it on to the side of the cab, then waited about 15 minutes. The glue scraped off very easily with a metal putty knife, then I sanded it with an orbital. One side is done and it looks great.
Be careful you don't get that stuff on your skin. It BURNS like acid!

I will try that, thanks.
