This is doomed for failure...everyone knows that football fans don't like nude women and food.

See, I'm a huge football fan... but I'd rather be in the limo with the chicks and food. I can Tivo the game and watch it later. ;D

Not to miss the point of the thread, but is a ticket really that much?

I would venture a guess that Foxboro is sold out for the season and to buy from a dealer or scalper would probably cost you that much depending on the game.
-
Most of them aren't but $200/seat is about the going secondhand rate for average seats. Better seats are easily $350. Foxboro is not cheap. Just parking is $35. A beer is like $8.50.
-
thats ---smurfin--- nuts, i could understand if it was rugby ;)
how much do season tickets cost or do they not do those, how many games are in a football season?
-
8 home games + 2 home preseason games in a season ticket package. There is a waiting list several years long and you have to pay hundreds of dollars just to get on that list. Part of the package is the right to buy your seats for the postseason if your team makes it (the Patriots are usually a lock to go deep).
Can't remember the season ticket cost, varies by seat location, because I won't pay hundreds just to get on a waiting list.

Only 8 at the home stadium.
And season tickets are MUCH cheaper than the prices you're seeing here. But with some teams selling out every year you could be on a waiting list for many years before you get a chance at them.
I know we were the envy of the neighborhood when my dad snagged Steelers season tickets.
-
It used to be that people laughed at someone for wasting their money on Patriots season tickets.
Now there are people who would trade real estate for a pair.
-
So if the seat's really worth $350 out of the $400, I would be a little concerned about the stripper/food quality. It's probably the dude's mom whipping up some mac n cheese while shimmying out of her housecoat. :scared

Nah, man. Any pimp worth his hat will get the girls to work for tips!

Keep in mind the $350 is market value, not face value, and reselling tickets above face value is illegal in MA... plus, reselling season package single tickets violates the sales contract with the Patriots. The Patriots are very aggressive about revoking season tickets from people who get caught doing that.

I am curious how they go about proving that. If someone comes in your place, they can just say you gave them the tickets because you couldn't attend. Or do they do some sort of sting operation deal by buying tickets on craigslist and such?
-
Do you get to sit next to the nude chick while at the game? Does she know how to handle a hotdog? :applaud:

Usually when I see it in the local paper it is because someone sold their ticket to a dillhole who got drunk enough to get ejected from the game. When they realize the person arrested isn't the ticket holder they revoke the season tickets.
I'm sure lots of people do it and most of them go totally under the radar, but when the team gets proof of someone doing it, that person loses their season tickets.

Football sucks. I wouldn't pay $4.00 to go to a football game, let alone $400. I might pay the $4.00 for the food and strippers, though.
-
I don't think football sucks...but I still would pay $400 for a regular season game...game after game.

Added his sister to the stripper crew. :woot

I always recommend getting into a strange car with wads of cash in your pockets. They will probably be dumped penniless into an alley near the stadium.

Something tells me a couple of strippers are not going to overpower a bus full of football fans. The guy who runs the thing and may be holding $400 per fan would have more reason to be concerned.
-
I'm saying a couple of strippers could be the lure to get a couple guys with wads of cash into a strange car. Strippers/Prostitutes rolling perspective clients is not a new phenomenom
