Meh?
Local used goods store has a dozen Saturn games for $4 each. Are they worth more than this?

these are mostly imports....

can you get me a list of games at that store? I'll gladly paypal you for them and a little extra for your time and shipping.

and it was a jackpot cause its free, and the major part of the jackpot was the 2 NeoGeo AES systems and who knows how many games... Ive always wanted a Neo Geo!

Yes, I'll note the games next time I'm there.

The AES is likely worth alot.

That's an expensive lot of games, those titles, and the AES itself is very expensive.

I loved playing Nights Into Dreams when it first came out.  It also gave me a leg up on my buddies when the Dreamcast came out and we had NFL 2k fever.  The Nights 3D controller was almost identical to the Dreamcast layout!

Nice score!

A good place to check the prices of the aes games once you get them is the neo-geo.com price guide (http://www.neo-geo.com/guides/aesguide.html).  Make sure you keep them in the best possible state, us neo collectors are a fussy lot and condition affects the price a lot!

I would compare prices with what people are willing to pay on ebay then you know what people are willing to pay around the pawnshops sometimes are good to buy from but not really to sell to or use as a price comparison.

Ive never seen *any* neo geo gear in a pawn shop and the prices on ebay for AES games literally made me laugh out loud, Im pretty sure with those prices, what ever he sends me will be my collection forever. There arent a whole lot of saturn games I want/remember but if he can snag some games for a couple of dollars Im willing to pay the price. the only saturn games I can think of off hand that I'd like to snag is Baku Baku Animal and Super Puzzle Fighter II, and thats just so my girl has something to play on it.  Maybe collect MKII and (U)MK3 just to add it to the pile of MK Krap I have

Most pawn shops wouldn't even know what an AES was. Not to mention that someone would have to be really stupid to not sell it online. AES stuff is insanely expensive. Demand just exceeds supply by a long shot. That's why many have "consolized" MVS units. MVS carts are much more reasonably priced. On the plus side there are adapters to run MVS carts on an AES. Someone obviously didn't know what they had or they would've been the ones selling it online.

That's an excellent collection of Saturn games. It's almost identical to my collection actually (except I only have XMvSF, Vampire Savior, and Cyberbots on the import side). Hopefully you have the 4Meg version of the Action Replay cart. Otherwise you won't be able to play XMvSF,MvSF, and Vampire Savior.

Most Saturn games are just outdated and eclipsed by modern titles. The 2D games are better off since they're really polished 2D games (Astal is gorgeous). One of the other high points of the system are the light gun games if you can find guns. Virtua Cop, Virtua Cop 2, Area 51, Maximum Force, and a few others.

yes yes I have both the regular 4MB expansion pack for the Saturn and the 4 MB Action Replay Cart. I would be absolutely in sheer bliss if I could locate a gun or two along with both Virtua Cops, the first time I had a Saturn (YEARS AGO) I had 2 guns and both games and loved em.

Apparently Im getting a World Heroes Cart, a couple King of Fighters (various years) and a few others, I'll post a list/pix when they actually get here. I dont plan on selling any of this stuff , I was just wondering the value. A long time friend is clearing out his collection, due to some pressure by the wife, so I came along and scooped up what I could, lucky me. Plus he knows if he ever wants it all back I wont hesitate to return it to him.

Im trying to get my hands on some controllers for the AES system, so I can make my own arcade sticks for them, I dont wanna take apart the only 2 I have.
