Title: How do i Power Perfect 360 Joystick?? PLEASE HELP!!!
Post by: Jedirampage on July 14, 2007, 12:35:17 am
Hello all,

I'm about to complete the wiring phase of my Cabinet (almost done).  However I have run into one small issue.  I have two Perfect 360 Joysticks that I have no idea how to power.  I've seen plenty message boards that tell me how there joysticks are connected. But nothing that gives me a good diagram or any type of direction on how to complete the install.  Any help anyone can give would be appreciated.  Top three ways i've seen them install are.

Molex Connector off a PC Power Supply.
Modified USB connection
Powered off the I-PaC (I have an I-PAC4 which does not have the 5v slot.

Thanks guys

I have Suzo inductives and powered them off the 5v of the PC supply. Never had any problems.

Get some male solderless molex pin connectors and a female four pin Molex connector. Wire up the joysticks to the pins inside the Molex and plug a standard PC connector into it (the 5v is usually the red wire, the two black are ground and then the yellow is 12v-check it with a multimeter to be positive, however).

Assuming the guys who work at your local Radio Shack are proper geeks, they should be able to point you to what you need, but it's at a premium price. If you have a Fry's nearby, they stock the stuff for less, but you are a lot less likely to find someone who can help you buy the stuff if you don't know what you are looking for. Absolute worst case, I could probably sell you what you would need for a few bucks + postage.
