I saw some of the mini arcade cabinets on here, i dont want a working one, do you have any tips on making them?
Also saw some pinball machines, how were these made? I like to make 1:6 scale miniature stuff, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

No idea how the pins were made, but I made my mini cab by taking http://www.jakobud.com 's plans and scaling them to the size I needed... You could do the same by just dividing every number on any cab's plans by 6.

I made my PocketGalaga (http://arcade.laweb.nl/PocketGalaga/) from birch ply. I wanted it to work so I guess I basically built it like you would a full scale cab, but then a lot smaller.
Just building the box is not so difficult. Of the build, most work is getting it painted. I found that getting the thing to work like an actual cab was a lot of work. Mostly planning work, but still.
On PocketGalaga I used glue. The thin ply doesn't really lend itself to dowels or mnails or whatever. Worked great. It wasn't regular woodglue though.
I also made a Galaga Birdhouse (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=66887.0). Again not exactly like the original, but it shouldn't be too difficult to make something like that so it looks more exact like an original (monitor and marquee area).
There are also the paper arcade plans from wayoftherodent (http://wayoftherodent.com/pa/pa_change.htm).
