Title: Problems with ATI 9800 Pro w/ DVI Dongle and Sony Trinitron 20"
Post by: smackifilia on June 25, 2007, 12:50:01 am
Working on my first MAME cabinet and encountered my first problem right off the bat.  I picked up the ATI dongle talked so much about on the component to TV board, and it works flawlessly when the resolution is 648x480.  However when I bump it down to 640x432, using powerstrip, to get the right output the screen jacks all up like its completely unable to show that resolution.  I tried messing with the 480i dip switch, once on once off, and it didn't work, wouldnt start up in 480 with the dip switch off, so i left it on started up unplugged it, switched 480i off then plugged it back in and tried to switch resolutions with the same effect.  Any help would be MUCH appreciated. This is driving me crazy.

Why are you using Powerstrip? Check my post out here: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=68054.msg692454#msg692454
