Eh, I dunno about that.... 

Perhaps nostalgia has clouded your memory, but the 2600 controller is quite possibly the worst controller in the history of console gaming.  Flipping through 300+ channels wiht a remote that requires two hands, a table and the strength of 10 doesn't sound like much fun to me.

what? Once the calluses develop the 2600 controller is the most awesomest joystick ever... Granted it's not for those with sissy hands who need a game pad.....

Well pardon me... I just prefer not to have to undergo carpal-tunnel surgery over a game of combat.

Moan and complain all you want about it, but REAL console gaming didn't eexist until after the NES was released.  And yes, I'm old enough to have played both back in the day.
