Title: Any disadvantages of FastMame?

My mame system is not the fastest thing in the world:

Athlon XP 2400
512 ram
WinXP Pro
ArcadeVGA2

I use the standard mame 103, and a few games are a little slow. I was wondering if there are any disadvantages of using Fastmame. Does anyone know? I don't think any important games had became working between the newest fastmame release and 103. If there are no disadvantages, I should probably switch to fastmame, right? Thanks!

And I thought my 400mhz celeron was slow. Ouch!
