I couldnt find anything on the searches... so i'll ask.
I have a early 2000's WG 27" k7500 monitor that works fine when it is cold... but loses a little focus and contrast when it warms up. I did a cap kit... but it didnt seem to do much for it (I think the colors may have got a little better).
I noticed a slight hairline crack on the flyback... but it doesnt spark or anything. Could it be on it's way out... and that the symtom is losing focus/contrast when warm?

Yup .... could be .... fairly common
and that the symptom is losing focus/contrast when warm?
Try wiggling the FOCUS and/or SCREEN pot on the flyback after it warms up and see if there is any flicker to the picker.
Did you look for any cold solder joints when you did the cap kit?

I generally resolder the whole board when i do a cap kit. All of the solder on this board did not flow well... but i didnt see any cold solder problems or cracking.
I'll crack it back open and pull the part number on the fb

does it re-focus with adjustment when warm?
