Title: New Baby.. Pong Clone.
Post by: clanggedin on April 23, 2007, 12:24:39 pm
I picked up this baby for $50 from a local. It's in great shape and I just needed to clean one of the pots with some contact cleaner  to get working perfectly (was shaking). It's only missing the speed up buttons on the side that could be pressed to speed up the ball (which I don't think I'll fix).

It's a Tele-Tennis 4 player pong. It also has switches on the front to switch to Hockey. There are switches to make the paddle smaller for those experts out there. You can even play one player hockey and win free games if you score 15.

I forgot how hard Pong actually is. I'll wait til the last second to move my paddle to shoot the ball on an angle and totally miss the ball most of the time.

Should this be submitted to KLOV?

How about posting some pictures of the actual game ...... and close ups of the cabinet maybe?

I am not sure KLOV wants clones in their DB. Apparently there were alot of Pong clones produced back then. Unfortunately, there is nothing about this cab on the net anywhere. Sears came out with a system called "Tele-Tennis" for your TV but this system was manufactured by a company in AZ.

United States Marketing Inc.
6740 Camelback Road
Scottsdale, AZ 85251
Tele-Tennis is a Secure and Profitable business.

The cab has a regular B&W TV in it. It has a green overlay on the backside of the glass to make it appear to be a computer monitor. You dont see any of the burn in on the TV throught the overlay.

I'll post more photos of the cab and the insides in a few days.
