Heyo guys, stumbled across a crazy taxi cab fully intact minus the pcb of course and am looking to hook it up to a console or MAME it up somehow. Got some great ideas from a few cabs i've seen here in regards to an xbox conversion but really looking to maintain the orignal gear/steering and peddle components.
Hopefully the opti-pac and a-pac will allow me to incorporate these parts so that i can play my beloved outrun and daytona in a durable cab (always have problems with flimsy plastic console steering components.)
Any suggestions would be geatly appreciated and i shall keep you guys up to day.
Cheers!

A crazy taxi cab if original is not a JAMMA cab. The Sega Naomi can however have a naomi to jamma adapter to put it into a jamma cab so you will have to determine if you have an original or a conversion. If it is an original the monitor should be a VGA monitor.
Not sure what an a-pac is. Do you mean an i-pac or a j-pac? You will not need a jpac if the cab is not jamma. The i-pac is a great interface if you have to do your own.
Not sure about the type of steering wheel. Maybe one of the arcade pros here can verify what type it is.
Good luck.

Does the NAOMI boardset run at 15khz or is it medium res? I know a lot of the Sega stuff going back as far as model 2 at least runs medium. Post the monitor model #, that will really affect what you can do and how you do it.
