Title: TMNT Boards
Post by: markt on April 12, 2007, 09:16:44 pm
What is the difference between the two and four player TMNT boards?
Is it only the ability to have two additional players?

Aren't the character select options tied to what coin you use in the 4-player boards? I think on the 2-player board you insert a coin and select your turtle. With the 4-player board you use coin 1 for Leonardo, coin 2 for Raphael, and so on...

I just looked at the schematics for TMNT and I do believe you are right.
I am going to put this in a generic two player cab that had a rampart board in it (board is bad).
I will have to put four buttons along the top of the c.p. panel and wire them as the coin slot switches, so the kids can choose each player.

You can swap the ROMS and convert to 2-player (I have a board that I am going to do this to ... once I get around to fixing the sound on it). Check RGVAC for details.

Cheers.

Search engine is not working at rgva, it says try again in a month when you do a search.

Thanks, that worked.
Looks like everyone is looking for the roms to switch the board over, seems like it would be a futile search.
I think my original idea might end up being the best one.

Try emailing Stephan at hobbyroms ... I'll bet he can provide what you need (I just ordered some other ROMS from him and service was A+++).
