Title: Need comsetics: 25c coins lots, monitor glass retainer
Post by: jasonbar on April 07, 2007, 09:49:31 pm
Howdy-

I've got my heavily-modified SlikStik Quad on my cabinet...finally!  (I got them both in December...)  Today I also got my 4 drink holders & 2 gun holsters installed.  I can use my workbench for the first time in months--hooray!

I have a few cosmetic items I need to wrap things up & want to see if anybody's got for sale or knows a good source for:

1 - The red plastic "25c push to reject" coin rejecter rectangles are pretty beat.  I've removed all the coin mechs, so I'm going to need to glue or screw a pair in & put some LEDs behind them.  Anyway, they're about 1.125" wide x 1.375" high.  Anybody got a pair, or at least one?  I found a few on-line that seem a little high-priced & I'm not sure if they're the right size anyway:

2 - I'm putting a hinge on the front of my control panel so it can flip up & forwards for maintenance.  When it's latched down in place, it needs to retain the monitor glass.  Most control panels on dedicated cabinets retain the monitor glass just by virtue of their shape & that they overlap over the glass.  I think I can rig something up w/ a marquee retainer bracket, but all I can find are plastic ones with a tight, acute angle (http://web.happcontrols.com/accessories/49100000.htm).  I fear these will be too flimsy & not want to bend out to an obtuse angle.  My cabinet was originally a Simpsons.  What I think I can use is a metal bracket w/ an obtuse angle, as often used on the underside of marquees, as seen in this pic: http://www.columbusrunning.com/arcade1.JPG

Any leads or help appreciated!

Thanks!
