Title: Monitor Problem :(
Post by: CRiMiNaL on March 29, 2007, 12:55:20 pm
hey,

I have a 9" Hantarex MTC 9000 Monitor, and I'm trying to hook it up to my computer with a trident blade vid card in dos with the bladetsr.exe 15khz video patch. This isn't my first arcade built, so I'm pretty sure I've hooked everything up right.

I have the arcade video hooked into the video card with a hacked bnc cable, 5 wires come out of the bnc, red-green-blue-ground-sync, so when i hook it up to the monitor the screen just changes a bit so i know it's getting a signal, but the screen just stays light grey.

double check the ground and sinc wires are in the correct place, also there is a large contrast pot-make sure that is not turned right down

well its only gonna be the input signal or a blanking fault on the monitor, the latter being very unlikely
are you using component video from the vid card?

You may need a video amp.
