I have this question posted on the BST board but perhaps it will get more play here...
...anyone have a SANYO 20EZ inverter board they would sell me?
...and why are people trying to convince me I don't need one to use this monitor with a JAMMA board...it displays Donkey Kong JR STOCK without the inverter board, so it stands to reason I NEED the board to display a JAMMA PCB...right?

Yes...... you need it.
The sole purpose of the inverter board IS to be able play non-Nintendo games on the Sanyo monitors.
You don't need it to play the older Nintendo games.

That is what I thought. I wonder why the fine folks at Mikes Arcade are arguing with me as well?
First they tried to sell me their inverter board that allows Nintendo boards to be used with Non-Nintendo monitors...then when I explained to them I needed the exact opposite thing that I wanted to use a JAMMA board on a Sanyo 20EZ they came back with: You don't need an inverter board to run JAMMA boards on a Sanyo 20EZ. The Inverter board is for the Nintendo games...
Wonderful....

Don't blame them...... it's a very common mis-understanding of what the inverter board is actually for.
You'll even find Sanyo 20EZ's in Nintendo cabinets that don't have an inverter board at all in them.
The Sanyo's and the Sharp 's were actually modified on the chassis to accept the Nintendo game signal directly. Which is why the inverter board is used for NON-Nintendo games. You can even put those components back in place and then use those monitors for other games without the need for the inverter board. But they will no longer work with the Nintendo games if you do that.
Make any sense? ;D

That is what I have...a DK Jr with NO inverter board...I plan on upgrading to a multi-jamma board to get DK, DKJR and DK3, etc...hence my need for the inverter board.
