anyone know where I can get this bulb style in a 5 VOLT
(http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o82/xboxuser5/bulb.jpg)
it came out of my coin door behind the red eject button and I am not sure what the stock voltage even was but the bulb number was C259 whatever that means I usually do led work and not into bulbs much.
I wired them in to a 5 VOLT now so I am loking for this same style in 5Volt stock may even be 5 but I was not sure.
it is a plug in type where you fold one side/leg over and do the same on the other and plug it in and not a screw in type you may hva eto copy the picture to zoom in to get a better picture I let a buddy uyse my mini usb and did the pic on a scanner instead of my usual digital camera.

its called Wedge style. Usually in 6v which works just as well.
I think they call them # 555 lamps.

I found these
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi
there toward the bottombut not sure there the right size anyone know a place that sells the regular light style or even the led style like in the link towrd the bottom so far I have only found them there but $9.00 shipped for 2 led lights is kinda cheesy lol.

You have a # 259 miniature lamp. It's a 6 volt wedge base bulb. Type # 159 and # 555 are directly interchangeable with your 259 as they are also 6 volt lamps.
It's very common to run 6 volt coin door lights off the +5 volt power supply. It extends their life at just a slight reduction in their brightness. Many game manufacturers do this.

Most electronics parts suppliers sell miniature lamps such as these. Radio Shack has them special order as # 900-2619 (about 50 ¢ each).
Check some auto parts stores too.

most big town and cities have a place that sells all kinds of lightbulbs (such as The Lightbulb Shop in Austin, TX) that carry these in stock.
Or....throw a couple bucks in your pocket and go find the local gameroom repair shop or route operator and just buy a couple bulbs off of them. No use paying more for shipping than the thing you want.
By the way, I've had problems with some games (Namco Cocktail control panel lights especially) that don't like the 555 bulbs. They burn very bright and burn out quickly. Stick with the 259's if you can get them.

I am in a rural area and hit 2 radio shacks and 4 hardware stores and the last hardware could order me some 259's for 52 cents each so I had him order 10 and while I was in that town i stopped in at my folks house and checked my dad's box of pinball goodies and to my suprise he had box's of the 555's so I grabbed a few of them to tide me over till the 259's come in for me.
thank's for all the help you guys I did not know much about them but now I do becuase of the help here.
