Title: [AtomicFe]2 new layouts on line
Post by: youki on February 27, 2007, 07:27:49 am
Hi,

I just upload 2 new layout on my website.  These are some variant of the _shock one with some reflections.

The previous ones i uploaded  reflect only the snap ,  these versions reflect the entire screen.

Horizontal version :

Exactly what I like , clean and clear , easy to read the game names , and not too much going on to distract me .

Is there any way to speed up scrolling through the game list as it takes a good few minutes to get from top to bottom.

You have 2 way to speedup.

The first one is to use Left and Right to jump   :
   - a given number of game
or - Jump to the next letter

And since Atomic 0.19  there is a new option "turbo browse" , if this option is enabled if you maintain the control up or down, the list will go faster and faster...

these options are here :

It's likely been asked...but is there a way to set up a SINGLE BUTTON to switch to an external program like WinCab?   On the Mala setup I am using,  I simply push a button and WinCab pops up.

Yes, you can run external command on  special event  or key press.

here :

To define what key for "custom keys"  , you use AtomicKey.exe  .

In case, If you would  need more than 3 keys ,  you can use the new plugin system.  It is easy to do.  The new plugin system is based on vbscript and plugin code can be done with a simple the notepad.  No need development tools or compilation..etc...

I just tested here, it works for me.

Are you sure you press the "Save" button after having ticked the options?

Are you using plugnplay module?  If yes  which ones?

Can you get that file :

http://www.AtomicFe.com/divers/dumpConfig.bat

copy it in Atomicfe folder , and run it.  It will generate a file  AtomicInfo.txt , send it to me on my email : y o u k i @ a t o m i c f e  .  c o m

thanks

Ok, you are using a plug'n play module it is why.

So , run AtomicManager.exe

Click on "Load config"

Select the file  <atomicfe>\plugnplay\arcade_simple\arcades.cfg

Go on the option tab,  and tick the options you want.

Click save.

And try again.

It is because when Atomic is in plug'n play mode, it ignores the start up config. It starts on plug'n play configs.

For the .bat ,  right click on the link , choose "save target as" , save it on AtomicFE folder ,  double clique on the file , then the file should be generated in the Atomic folder.  But anyway , i don't need it for now.

Run the Dumpconfig.bat from the AtomicFolder , this time.

And send it to me.

The causes could be :

-you modified the Rom folder settings in Arcades.cfg
-You modified the name of the roms folders on your drive
-You  deleted your roms folder

Heh, it looks like my decision to switch to AtomicFE is becoming easier. Later tonight I'm going to set up all the modules and give it a go.

Can atomicFE change orientations based on which controls are selected?

No, but it can change orientation based on which game is selected.  I suppose control depends on the game.

edit:

Are you asking for a coktail table?  Because Atomic has a coktail mode.  If you press a button, it rotate the screen to the other player and the other player takes the control.  But it is not automatic, you have to press un button.
